Dedication of the Dobson Organ to Highland Park United Methodist Church
This past weekend I had the distinct pleasure of attending the concerto concert dedicating the new 5.5 million dollar organ at Highland Park United Methodist Church. To say that is was thrilling would be an understatement! This fine instrument has power and richness, so much so that at times we could physically feel the vibrations-and the chill bumps! Each Saturday all three of our showrooms host "Saturday at Steinway". These informative seminars cover how to's, piano knowledge, and piano history and more. This past Saturday the topic was The Art of Selection - How to Select Your Steinway. If you were unable to attend we would like to give you a breif outline of this presentation.
To begin, it is important to understand that no two Steinway pianos are alike. As individuals, we each have special characteristics that appeal to others. Each Steinway has its special Characteristics too. Since 1853, Steinway has hand-crafted every piano to bring out it's individuality.
